Hello Oppo!
I'm new around here and glad to join the community. I hope we'll be able to share gifs of cats, rants about automatic gearboxes, and posts explaining how awesome the Toyobaru twins are.
But in the meantime, I come to you for a matter of national security the highest importance.
Your unequaled expertise on car aesthetics and history leads me to ask you a question that, in simple english, can be expressed as follows: " Brah, dip or no dip?"
A 5-hour train ride from my hometown gave me the time to play around with Gimp long enough to look like car obsessed idiot with too much time on his hands put together a few possible directions for this.
(by the way, yes , I used a picture of myself in the Karussel. Part of it is because I like to brag about this, part of it is because it's the only shot of the car I have with this angle. Most of it is bragging.)
1. stock
2: roof center only
3: complete roof
4: complete roof and side mirrors
So far, the 4th shot has my preference, mostly because it makes the car seem a bit lower. But what your opinion?
By the way, I hope this kind of posts are OK on oppo.

These kinds of posts are perfect for Oppo. I like the fourth as well, though the roof-center-only is nice too.
Oh, and welcome!

These sorts of posts are quite fine in moderation. As for which looks best, I think you're into something with the 4th version. It does trick the eye into focusing on the lower (and shinier) half of the car.

Welcome! Always dip brah.

I like shot 3 personally. The mirrors appear separate to the roof. Maybe if the bottom part was gray and the upper black I'd feel better about it.

I, personally, would do #3.
#4 is more visually cohesive and fluid, but from far away it looks like you cheaped out and got the base model with black plastic side mirrors.
My $0.02.

Dipped or not dipped, I want a Swift NOW!! damn you Suzuki USA!

Yes, and the good part is that if it doesn't work, it's supposedly easy to remove from the mirrors.
Problem is I have no plastidipping experience...

Now I have doubts! it's true that this is nice...

Yep, I though about this too..

Haha, as much as I like this car I'm not sure it would have fared very well on your shores...
... or maybe it would. You'd probably have gotten it for about 15k, which for a 125hp / 2300lbs machine isn't bad. It's sort of a poor man's hatchback FWD miata.

Suzuki pulled out at the wrong time if you ask me, small cars are gaining momentum, (atleast in the cities). At 15K it would be the right amount for the kid coming out of college to easily afford, and its some pretty decent performance for the money. Would be the best competition for the Fiesta or a base model Mini Cooper or Fiat 500..
